The town of Kos was founded in 366 BC, in the same area where modern Kos nowadays is to be found. When entering the harbour of Kos town the imposing medieval Castle of Neratzia is bound to draw your attention. This castle is connected to the mainland by a bridge that crosses the Palm Tree Avenue, the same one that connects the Castle to the Platanos, the large plane tree under which Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, used to teach.

Kos Marina came under the management of KOS Ependitiki SA (a company owned by the Municipality of KOS town) in 1999. Since then 8 million euros was invested, applying the ambitious program of building the best Marina in the Aegean Sea! Two years later Kos Marina was ready to offer an extensive range of services to yachts from 7 to 50 meters.

Kos Marina is located one mile SE from Kos old harbour (Entrance: 36° 53' N 27° 18' E) and offers today 250 berths with Mooring lines, water supply, Electricity supply 220 & 380 V from 16 to 125 Amps, Telephone connection, Satellite TV.

Kos Marina premises are patrolled 24 hours by guards. Cameras cover all over the complex Kos Marina. Fire Precaution. All piers are equipped with fire stations with fire extinguishers; alarm system; fire hoses with both fresh and seawater circuit. All piers are equipped with emergency stations comprising lifebuoys, lifelines, emergency telephones and rescue ladders.
